Column Radiators and their Advantages
A column radiator is a traditional cast iron radiator, which is made of vertical tubes in each section. They are basically tubular steel radiators.
Many people like to buy the column radiators because they have a very traditional look. Some of the advantageous features of column radiators are:
• Better performance
The heating ability of column radiators has often been found to be better than that of other heaters. They deliver a much better performance.
• Lighter
Column radiators are a lot lighter than other type of radiators, especially cast iron radiators. As a consequence, they are easier to transport and manoeuvre into position.
• Cost
These radiators are constructed in such a manner that there is only the minimal wastage of raw material and hence they are cost-effective and cheaper than cast iron radiators.
• Attractiveness
Column radiators can look very attractive as they can be painted in any colour of your choice. Some other radiators cannot be easily coloured as they are only supplied in primer coats. Column radiators can be made to suit any interior design or theme.
• Customisation
Most vendors allow their customer to determine the number of columns in the radiators. These columns determine the radiators heating ability as well as the size.
